FOR FOREIGNERS

Within the framework of the Window to Russia program, a group of 40 students from Amity University (Gurgaon, Haryana) studying the Russian language visited the Russian Center for Science and Culture in New Delhi.


The excursion for the students was conducted by Tatyana Perova, the head of the Russian-language training center of the Russian language center, and the leading expert-expert Lyudmila Filippova.

The guests got acquainted with the national traditions, customs and culture of Russia, as well as the photo exhibition "From Russia with Love", which included more than 60 photos from the series "Nature, Architecture and People of Russia" displayed in the RCSC. The students visited the photo exhibition of the winners of the international contest "Russian Civilization", provided by the Federal Agency for Nationalities of Russia.

During the event, the students got acquainted with the work of the RCSC, its library, the art and ballet school, the Mikhail Botvinnik Chess Academy, the Roerich Museum and folk craft collections. During the excursion the guests of the RCSC learned how foreigners learn Russian and what interesting events the center takes part in. Young Indians were presented with an interactive presentation on the history and culture of Russia, as well as a short film about the nature of Russia prepared by the Federal Agency for Tourism was demonstrated.

A quiz "What do I know about Russia" was organized for Indian students. Two teams out of five divided the first place and received memorable prizes and souvenirs.
