The Russian Center for Science and Culture in New Delhi hosted a solemn signing of an agreement on cooperation between the Rossotrudnichestvo office in New Delhi and the Mari State University.

The event was organized by RCSC in New Delhi with the support of Rus Education, which provides information and advice to Indian applicants who wish to pursue higher education in Russia.

The signing of the agreement was attended by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo in India, F. A. Rozovsky, and the rector of the Mari State University M. N. Shevtsov.

During his stay in India, a Russian delegation from Marzu visited the Rockland Hospital, where a cooperation agreement was signed to exchange the professional skills of students from the two countries. Also, representatives of the Russian university held talks with the leadership of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

"For the representatives of the Russian university, India is a strategic partner." Rossotrudnichestvo helps to enter any part of the world, including India, so for us this agreement is a strategic tool for developing relations with this country.Today, our university has 5,400 students day department, of which 1 500 foreigners, and a third of them - 500 people - Indians, "- said the rector of the Maritime State University M.Shvetsov.

He also noted that thanks to productive cooperation with the Rossotrudnichestvo office in India, the university is confidently ready to increase the number of Indian students, while maintaining a high level of quality education provided.

"The Russian side should look more closely at India, offering educational services.We need to be more active, as the market capacity of this country is huge and high interest in higher education, including in Russia," added M.Shvetsov.

Among the most popular directions of training the head of the university singled out a medical direction, which includes medical practice, pediatrics, pharmaceutics, medical biophysics, etc. Also, students from India prefer the agrarian sector, electric power industry and other specialties.

"The signed agreement shows that the longstanding efforts of Rossotrudnichestvo to promote Russian education on the Indian market bring concrete results," said the head of Rossotrudnichestvo in India, F. A. Rozovsky.

Representation Rossotrudnichestvo in India had previously had experience signing such an agreement with the Tver State Medical University.

The final event of the program of the Russian delegation's stay in India was a press conference for Indian media with the participation of the leadership of the Mari State University.
