"Crimea in the international context" - the name of the III International Conference, in which the leadership of the Republic of Crimea, foreign and Russian scientists, journalists, students of the Crimean Federal University named after V.Vernadsky took part.
This was reported by the direct participants of the event - the pro-rector for international activities and information policy of the KFU Sergey Yurchenko and the head of the department of international academic mobility KFU Ksenia Slutskaya. According to their information, more than 70 foreign guests from different countries of the world became participants of the conference.
Covering several thematic blocks, the work of the conference was divided into sessions. So Sergei Yurchenko spoke at the main session with a report "The fascination of the soft power of education: the international activity of the Crimean Federal University named after V.Vernadsky."
"Active international activity, projects of academic mobility, more than 100 international events - all this once again proves that the Crimean Federal University named after V. I. Vernadsky is not only the largest educational institution of the Crimea, but also an important element in the overall system of development of the people's diplomacy of the Crimea and the Russian Federation, "he stressed.
The university students actively participated in the youth session dedicated to the development of youth public diplomacy. The guys from India, Uzbekistan, China, Nigeria, Palestine talked about their impressions of life in the Crimea, the benefits of studying at a federal university and the difficulties they have to face because of the difficult geopolitical situation. One of the speakers of the session was Ksenia Slutskaya, who spoke in her report on the distinctive features of the Crimea as a region, designed to become the center of public diplomacy of the Russian Federation.
The work continued in the walls of the Livadia Palace, where, within the framework of the Forum of Friends of Crimea, a decision was made to create the Association of Friends of the Crimea.
As the Head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, who took part in the conference, has so many friends in the Crimea, but now it will become even more - more than 2,500 foreign students of the KFU are evident proof of this.
