MRRCI is unique in the Russian scientific and medical-educational complex, employing 101 professors and doctors, 300 candidates of sciences (including 4 academicians and corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences, 9 Honored Scientists, 13 State Prize winners), as well as about 1200 physicians (including 8 distinguished doctors Russia, 150 with the higher category ), 600 nurses.

The staff of the Institute schedule includes about 3300 employees. The Institute has its own hospital at 1205 beds (32 clinics), of which 58% surgical, therapeutic - 42%, children - 19%. In addition, two scientific divisions of the institute are located in other clinical settings: children's orthopedic trauma department on the basis of the regional children's orthopedic surgical hospital (200 beds), children's infectious disease department - based children's hospital No 2 named after St. Vladimir.
