Crimean Federal University named after VI Vernadsky - a higher education institution with a rich ancient history, research and production complex, which employs more than 10,000 employees and an enrollment of over 35,000 students, including 2,793 international students from 53 countries.

Today Crimean Federal University includes 8 academies and institutes, 5 colleges and centers, 11 branches all over the Crimea and 7 research organizations.

Today on the basis of the university is carried out student and faculty research and training activities, allowing to acquire and improve their knowledge in natural sciences, humanities and health sciences.

CFU is the organizer of a number of international and national forums and conferences, events, meetings, round tables. Cooperative arrangements with renowned national and foreign universities, governments, large companies and enterprises of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea. Promoting the development of science in the region, CFU  initiating the creation and work of the various research organizations, which include students, faculty members of the University and its employees.

Production base of structural units of CFU , and active cooperation with relevant organizations and institutions allow students to successfully pass the Industrial and scientific practice, acquire jobs.

Training of students is conducted in educational and scientific laboratories of departments, specialized classrooms, computer labs, a language lab, multimedia studios, educational farms, Fields of educational management and Basic enterprises. For students services - a unique technically equipped scientific library with a rich book fund of educational, scientific and artistic literature.

The CFU actively functioning arts groups, ensembles choreography, vocal, drama studios, sports clubs.

University supports stable international contacts for the implementation of research projects, training of teachers and students in foreign universities.

Today in CFU named after VI Vernadsky trains specialists with fundamentally new features that meet the highest requirements of national and international standards. Significantly increased the possibility of the establishment of the University of Crimea on the basis of leading universities received federal status - Crimean Federal University named after VI Vernadsky, who became the center of science and the pride of the Republic of Crimea and the Russian Federation.
