EDUCATION
IN RUSSIA
FOR FOREIGNERS

On September 24, 2017, second-year students of the foreign faculty of the OrhMU took part in an excursion called "Orenburg Autumn through the Eyes of Foreigners".

The organizer of the excursion was the Russian language department. Despite the fact that students study in Russia for the second year, this year they first saw the golden autumn. This is due to the fact that the academic year for Indian freshmen begins in November, when no colors of autumn in Orenburg are no longer there.

The location for the excursion was chosen as the settlement of Saraktash. First, students visited the Holy Trinity Convent of Mercy, representing a grandiose church-architectural ensemble. In addition to the church, there are a religious school, an Orthodox gymnasium, a water-bodily house, a charity house, a bakery.

Then the students went to the Red Mountain - the most interesting place for tourists in the Orenburg region. In 1998, the shooting of the historical film "The Russian Riot" about the events of the peasant war took place here. The film is based on the works of A.S. Pushkin "The Captain's Daughter" and "The History of the Pugachev Riot." Students together with teachers of the Russian language department were able to carefully consider all the scenery built specifically for the filming of this film: houses, a church, a mill, wells.

The final place of the excursion was the literary and historical museum "The Captain's Daughter". In the three halls of the museum students saw ancient objects of everyday life, interior, clothing of Cossacks. Particular attention of Indian students was caused by the third hall, dedicated to the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin and his work "The Captain's Daughter".

Thanks to this excursion, Indian students not only saw the beauty of Orenburg's autumn, but also expanded knowledge about the Orenburg region.
