The Public Chamber of the Russian Federation held a grand opening of the Russian-Indian Youth Forum, which will last until 12 July.

Forum was the first visit of the Indian delegation after signing the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of youth policy between the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Russian Federation) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of India.

The participants were 46 representatives of the Indian side, including the young representatives of political, social, cultural, scientific and business circles, heads of departments.

At the opening ceremony of the Forum were made by members of the Commission on the development of public diplomacy, humanitarian cooperation and the preservation of the traditional values ​​of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Margarita Rusetskaya.

"The program of cooperation between Russia and India, marking the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations, youth projects, student exchanges play an important role. Because public diplomacy - it is the power that in today's world is crucial and determining ", - said Margarita Rusetskaya.

Head of the International Cooperation of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Dmitry Ivanov welcomed the participants on behalf of the head of Rosmolodezh Aleksandra Bugaeva, and recalled that at present the Russian-Indian partnership is strategic and highly privileged nature.

"The basis of the Russian-Indian relations is economic cooperation in various sectors. At the same time relations in the humanitarian sphere, in particular, the youth track, play a crucial role, emphasizing the comprehensive bilateral cooperation " , - said Dmitry Ivanov.

Director of the State Organization "International Youth Center" Aleksey Lyubtsov focused on the past results of cooperation between Russia and India in the framework of the first International Youth Educational Forum "Eurasia".

"We are always ready for dialogue, and advocate to find common ground for further friendship and cooperation. Due to the communication of the Russian-Indian Youth Forum participants will be able to remove questions to identify interesting new goals and achieve positive results for our countries ", - said Aleksey Lyubtsov.

Director of the Department of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Lenka said that the Indian youth is interested in dialogue with our Russian colleagues, and expressed the hope that the youth of Russia and India will find general directions for the further development of relations between the two countries.

An integral part of the event will be the participation of young people in the change of "Young professionals in the field of IT and related industries" National Youth Forum "The territory of the senses on the Klyazma." There they will be able to explore the latest innovations and features in IT and related industries in the Russian Federation and to meet with Russian experts in the field of modern technology, public administration and work of youth organizations in this field.

In addition, the Forum is scheduled to hold a round table discussion "The Future of Russia and India in the hands of the youth", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of India. In addition to the official part of the Forum, to be held in Moscow, the participants will also visit cities such as Vladimir, Suzdal and St Petersburg.

Recall that the purpose of the Forum is to strengthen and promote bilateral cooperation between the Forum participants in areas such as youth entrepreneurship, education, culture, science, innovation, journalism, sports and others.
