Foreign students of SFedU took part in the All-Russian Forum of Foreign Students (Graduate Courses) of Russian Universities, organized by the Association of Foreign Students of Russia jointly with the Russian University of Peoples' Friendship (Moscow).
SFU was represented by: Eyias Al-Khatib (post-graduate of the Institute of Sociology and Regional Studies, Syria), Abdulrahman Al-Nozila (master of the Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Management, Yemen), Lin Zenglang (master of the Institute of Philology, Journalism and Intercultural Communication, China), Alexander Shkilev ( Graduate student of the Faculty of Economics, Azerbaijan), head of the delegation - Inna Kovtunenko, head of the Russian language department for foreign students.
The program of the Forum included a grand opening and thematic round tables on the spread of the Russian language, attracting graduates of national schools to study in Russian universities, the Russian Language Olympiad, sports competitions with the assistance of the ACS of Russia, a sightseeing tour for nonresident participants in Moscow, the closure of the Forum and Gala Concert.
The SFU confirmed the high level of preparation of foreign students - the graduate of the magistracy of the Institute of Philology of Journalism and Intercultural Communication in 2017 Lin Zenglan won the 2nd place among foreign graduates from Moscow and other Russian cities.
The Forum was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, compatriots living abroad, and international humanitarian cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
The Forum's activities are aimed at strengthening the educational and intercultural dialogue of young people from different countries of the world, forming a community of friends of Russia, guides of Russian culture and the Russian language abroad, deepening the knowledge of foreign students in the Russian language, culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia.
